In July, Kids Bike Lane, delivered a bike to Amberly, a special needs rider referred to us by a Livermore-based agency, Enjoy Life More, Inc. She was very excited to receive a bike. When we delivered the bike, helmet, and lock to Amberly we discovered her mother did not have a bike. So, the following week we delivered a refurbished bike so that mother and daughter can ride together.
In August, Kids Bike Lane, delivered a bike to Kyle, a special needs rider referred to us by Futures Explored. Kyle is being trained in media production at a site in Livermore. Receiving the bike was a surprise to Kyle and despite the mask we sensed his joy as he thanked us for the wonderful gift. He was joined by his peers for a wonderful celebration. The bike will enable Kyle to get from home to BART and from BART to the training site in Livermore.
